1 cube butter (real or margarine)
1 cup brown sugar
1 can sweeten condense milk
1 cup karo syrup
Put all ingredients in pan over medium heat and bring to a rapid boil, stirring constantly. (The longer you boil it the firmer the caramel - for example if you want it for apples, soft and sticky, boil for about a minute, but if you want it for popcorn, not so sticky, then boil for about 2 minutes.) Just before you pull it off the heat add a cap full of vanilla.
